§ 25-154. Mandatory connections to public sanitary sewer.

  • (a)

    The owner of all houses, buildings or properties used for human occupancy, employment, recreation and other such purposes, located within the jurisdiction of the board of commissioners and abutting on any street, alley or right-of-way in which there is now located a public sanitary sewer, is required to install, at the owner's expense, suitable toilet facilities, and to connect such facilities directly to the public sanitary sewer. In accordance with the provisions of this article, the owner has twenty-four (24) months after the date of official notice to accomplish this, provided that the public sanitary sewer is within one hundred (100) feet of the property line.

    (b)

    Exceptions to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section may be granted by the county upon application.
