§ 25-57. Economic hardships.

  • Any person who can provide proof of economic hardship to the director of the department of watershed management (hereinafter referred to as "director") may petition the director, within two (2) business days after the person discovers such leak, break, or malfunction, or within two (2) business days of receiving a notice from the county of such condition, for additional time to repair a leak, a break, or a malfunction. Should the director grant the petition, the petitioner will receive no more than an additional fifteen (15) business days to correct the condition and, during this period, water service to the premises shall not be terminated. The petitioner shall be responsible for all costs and associated fees of water usage and wastage following the initial two (2) business-day period after discovery or notification until the leak, break, or malfunction is corrected.
