§ 23-88. Plans, specifications and responsibility.

  • (a)

    Plans and specifications for all work to be covered by an encroachment permit shall be submitted to the public works director, and shall show in detail all required pertinent data and features of construction.

    (b)

    Ground-mounted facilities shall be of a design compatible with abutting property.

    (c)

    All work covered by an encroachment permit shall meet and comply with all applicable county, state and federal laws, regulations, requirements and permits, including but not limited the Code, the GDOT Standard Specifications For Construction of Roads and Bridges, the GDOT Policy For Accommodation of Utilities, the National Electrical Safety Code, the American National Standards Institute Standard Code For Pressure Piping, the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Manual, and the Georgia Sedimentation and Erosion Control Act.

    (d)

    Permittees shall be solely and fully responsible for any claims, actions, damages or injury related in any way to the design and construction of permitted work.

    (e)

    Permittees shall be solely responsible for providing adequate safety measures during all phases of permitted work.
