§ 16-45. Responsibility of operators of establishments.

  • (a)

    It shall be the responsibility of operators of establishments to post curfew hours. A sign containing the following language shall be conspicuously posted at all public entrances and exits of every establishment: "This Establishment complies with the Curfew Hours set by DeKalb County. With few exceptions, Minors, unless accompanied by a Parent or Guardian, are not allowed in this Establishment from Midnight until 5:00 A.M. each day. Violations of the Curfew Hours will be reported to DeKalb County." All signs shall be no smaller than two (2) square feet and the lettering on the sign shall be no smaller than one (1) inch in size.

    (b)

    The posting of signs required by this section does not relieve operators of any establishment from compliance with section 16-44.

Part I of Ord. No. 13-14 , adopted Sept. 24, 2013, repealed the former § 16-45, and enacted a new § 16-45 as set out herein. The former § 16-45 pertained to Loitering—responsibility of proprietors, managers, etc., and derived from the 1976 Code, § 10-1010.
