§ 14-183. Minor streets/minor arterials.

(a)

Local residential streets shall be so designed to discourage speeding and encourage safe environment for pedestrians and bicyclists. They shall be designed to discourage high speed through traffic by the use of traffic calming devices.

(b)

Within historic districts, the platting of lots and streets shall be compatible with the historic patterns that exist within the historic district except for numbered state or federal routes.
