§ 13-207. Zero-depth entry pools.

    Application. All elements of this article for swimming pools shall apply to zero-depth entry pools with the following additional provisions:

    Construction. A zero-depth entry pool shall be designed and constructed so that the pool and the deck surface meet at a maximum slope of one (1) foot in twelve (12) feet, continuing to the deepest portion of the pool or slope break. Where the water depth in these pools is less than one and one-half (1½) feet, floor inlets shall be provided and spaced uniformly at a distance no greater than twenty (20) feet apart and located not further than twenty (20) feet from the point where the pool bottom intersects the deck, and not more than twenty (20) feet from any wall. A grated gutter, as described in the Section "Skimmers and Overflow Gutters," or other suitable, approved skimming system, shall be installed along the entire zero-depth entry at the normal water level, and shall be designed and constructed to accommodate variations in the normal water level.
